      François Mittins

      Photographer | Videographer

Hey! I’m François Mittins—Mitts for short. I’m an Assistant Creative Director and Director of Photography, harnessing the power of collaboration to create soulful, meaningful work. I thrive on bringing people together, blending our creative energies, and crafting something that speaks from the heart.

With over 8 years of photography experience, I approach every project with fresh possibility and passion. I’m a published commercial and editorial photographer, and I’ve had the privilege of leading productions, curating visual stories, and fine-tuning every shot as both a DOP and editor. From the cover of Ottawa Luxe Magazine to the NAC Jumbo Screen, my work has been seen far and wide—but it’s the purpose behind it that fuels me.

I hold a diploma in Graphic Design from Algonquin College and was mentored in both photography and cinematography. Along with an arts-focused high school education—where I explored painting to airbrushing—my creative foundation has been the heartbeat of my journey.

What I love about Godzspeed is being part of a team that constantly inspires me to grow, push creative boundaries, and do my best work. For me, soulful work is about intention—creating with purpose, emotion, and human connection.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m cooking, playing soccer, or nurturing my plant family. If I weren’t doing this, I’d probably be a chef, finding another way to feed the soul.
