Maureen Gibbs-Tomka

I’m Maureen—Mo to most, a Graphic Designer by trade, a helper by heart. Helping people fills my bucket, whether it’s through my work or just being there when someone needs a hand. My kids are my greatest joy and daily inspiration—the reason I strive to be better every day.

With 13 years in the industry, I specialize in motion graphics, illustration, branding, and web design. I earned a Graphic Design Diploma (2012) and a TV Animation Diploma (2002) from Algonquin College, and I’ve been pushing creative boundaries ever since. Soulful work, to me, means constantly learning and evolving.

What I love most about Godzspeed is the energy—we lift each other up, push creative limits, and collaborate in a way that makes even remote work feel connected. It’s a positive and nurturing space where creativity thrives.

Outside of design, I enjoy fishkeeping, getting lost in true crime stories, or—without realizing it—singing whatever random theme song my kids have on repeat. My favourite song is This is Me from the Greatest Showman Soundtrack. If I weren’t a designer, I’d probably be a paralegal. But honestly, I’m confident this is exactly where I’m meant to be.
